In an atmosphere filled with warmth, nostalgia, and renewed hope, the staff of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Directorate gathered today to welcome their newly appointed Director, Mrs. Acharu Opaluwa, back to familiar grounds. Formerly a Deputy Director in charge of the Reforms Coordination and Service Improvement Department at the NOA Headquarters, Mrs. Opaluwa’s return was met with great excitement and genuine joy, signaling a new chapter for the FCT Directorate.

Led by the acting Director, Mr. Aminu Wodi, a delegation of enthusiastic staff members and the ever-vibrant War Against Indiscipline (WAI) Brigade staged a heartwarming reception for Mrs. Opaluwa as she arrived at the Federal Secretariat, Head of Service building—home to the NOA FCT Directorate office. With smiles, applause, and heartfelt greetings, she was ushered into her new office, a space not unfamiliar to her but now carrying a weightier responsibility.

In her remarks, Mrs. Opaluwa expressed deep gratitude for the warm welcome, acknowledging the efforts of all who came out to receive her. She emphasized the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and shared purpose, stating, “The success of the agency lies in the collective effort of all its staff. No one person can do it alone. We must work together, united in purpose, to achieve our common goals.”

Her message was not just one of leadership, but of inclusion and shared vision. She specifically appreciated the presence of Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officers from various Area Councils, as well as staff from the National Headquarters who had accompanied her, underlining her belief in building strong bridges across every level of the agency.
To many, Mrs. Opaluwa’s return to the FCT Directorate was more than just a deployment—it felt like a homecoming. Years ago, she served as the head of the Press Unit within the same Directorate, before her redeployment to the National Headquarters. Her return now, in a leadership capacity, brings a sense of continuity and experience that many staff members find both comforting and inspiring.
A graduate of Theatre Arts from the prestigious University of Jos, Plateau State, Mrs. Opaluwa brings with her not only academic prowess but also a wealth of practical experience and institutional knowledge that will undoubtedly serve the FCT Directorate well. Her background in communication and public engagement aligns seamlessly with the core mandate of the NOA—mobilizing citizens and promoting national values, unity, and positive behavioral change.
As the Directorate looks forward under her guidance, staff are hopeful that her leadership will usher in a new era of innovation, inclusivity, and impact. Her professional journey, rooted in dedication, reform, and service improvement, sets a tone of purposeful leadership—one that aims to uplift not just the agency, but the lives of the citizens it serves.
Indeed, today’s event was not just about the assumption of duty. It was a celebration of dedication, of a journey coming full circle, and of the enduring bonds formed in service. The NOA FCT Directorate stands poised for progress, with Mrs. Acharu Opaluwa at the helm.
Welcome home, Madam Director.
